Our Mission

The FLEISS Software Foundation [Project] exists to advance development of free and open-source software of enterprise quality and to extend its usage in everyday life.

It means that we strongly believe in computer user freedom and the rights of software users. We strive to provide software for the public good. But we also exert to do it with the best quality possible at the moment. We believe that quality assurance can lead free and open-source software to new heights in spread and usage.

We consider some practices used in the development of enterprise software systems as the best existing in the industry. Not all enterprise practices are really the best. Even more, not all of them are good ones. However, some of them are the best indeed. We consider exactly these practices as constituting the notion of the "enterprise quality". We believe that implementation of the best enterprise practices in the field of free and open-source software can strengthen it and advance it into new areas.
